Cross-entry to a Master's program without a first academic degree
Here you will find important information on admission to Master's degree programs without a first university degree (according to § 16 Para. 2 of the Hessian Higher Education Act).
In Hessen, prospective students with relevant professional experience have the opportunity to enter a Master's program directly after successfully passing an aptitude test. The Hessian Higher Education Act (§16, Para. 2) regulates the scope of the aptitude test: Applicants must demonstrate a level of knowledge equivalent to that of a Bachelor's or Diploma degree. At the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences you, as a qualified professional, have the opportunity to apply directly for admission to our MBAs (Aviation and Tourism Management or Sustainable Business Development). Here we show you what you need to consider:
In addition to a completed vocational training, candidates need at least 4 years of full-time professional experience in a relevant industry and a university entrance qualification.
The admissions committee decides on admission to the aptitude examination and recommends the members for the examination committee.
The aptitude test consists of the following tasks:
Four written examinations of 90 minutes each in four selected subjects of a relevant Bachelor's degree program.
A project paper (completion period of 8 weeks) + colloquium (30 to 60 minutes)
One professional discussion (30 to 60 minutes)
Applicants will receive a certificate confirming that they have passed the aptitude test, showing the overall grade as well as the individual examinations with their grades and subject areas. The certificate can be used to apply for admission to the respective MBA.
A fee is charged for the aptitude test. The fee to be paid is currently € 690,00.
The application deadline for the aptitude examination is 15 February each year.
