General terms and conditions for further education admission

The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the further education admission to the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences:

Registration
Registration for participation in continuing education programs of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences must be made no later than four weeks prior to the start of the program, unless otherwise specified. It must be made in writing on a registration form, via online registration or by email. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received, unless another procedure is specified. After receipt of the binding registration, the participants will receive a confirmation of receipt of their registration. If space is available, registration is also possible after the registration deadline by arrangement with Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Discounts on continuing education courses cannot be combined with other discounts - only one type of discount per course can be used.

Cancellation and Refund
Withdrawal must be declared in writing. The withdrawal becomes effective upon receipt by Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. In the case of withdrawal up to four weeks before the start of the training measure, any fees already paid will be refunded. In the event of withdrawal up to two weeks before the start of the measure, the participant is obligated to pay 50% of the participation fee. In the event of a later withdrawal, the entire participation fee must be paid. The participant has the right to prove that Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences has not suffered any damage or that the damage is significantly less than the aforementioned lump sum. A suitable substitute participant can be provided. The non-utilization of individual teaching units or course hours does not entitle the participant to a reduction of the participation fee. In the case of events with overnight stays and which take place in other conference centers, the withdrawal must be declared in writing nine weeks before the first day of the event in order to receive a full refund of the seminar fee. If the cancellation is made less than 9 weeks before the start of the event, the full amount is due.

Cancellation of continuing education courses
Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences has the right to cancel continuing education measures in the event of insufficient participation or for other important reasons. It is then obliged to refund any participation fees already paid. The participant has no further claims.

Change of lecturers and postponements in the course schedule
A change of lecturers or postponements in the schedule do not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract or to reduce the participation fee.

Certificates
After completion of the event and after receipt of payment, participants will receive confirmation of participation or a certificate.

Liability
Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is not liable for any damages suffered by the participant in the course of the continuing education program, unless such damages are the result of intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of vicarious agents. The fees are to be paid in full immediately upon receipt of the invoice, at the latest, however, by the specified payment deadline, without discount, and stating the invoice number and the purpose of payment. Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is entitled to issue certificates only after payment in full.

Subsidiary Agreements
Amendments to the contract and subsidiary agreements must be made in writing in order to be effective.

Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions and all legal relationships between Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and the participant shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding international uniform law.
