Rapid developments in the social, technological, economic, political and ecological context characterize current events. For companies and organizations, these developments harbour opportunities and risks in equal measure. It is crucial to take a holistic view of both your own institution and the context in order to identify opportunities and risks appropriately.
In the CAS Systemic Business Manager course you will acquire the ability to holistically manage complexity within a company and its environment. You will learn to understand the organization as a system consisting of many interconnected parts. The focus of the course is to provide you with a holistic, systemic view of your own company or division. This systemic perspective helps to recognize and understand the interactions between the different parts of the company, as well as between the company and its external environment. As a Systemic Business Manager, you will focus on finding balances that promote sustainability and long-term success.
Your tasks may include:
- Holistic thinking: understanding the dynamics and interdependencies within the organization and its relationship to the external environment.
- Strategy development: Developing strategies based on a deep understanding of the systemic nature of the business.
- Change management: Implementation of change processes aimed at improving the adaptability and resilience of the organization.
- Conflict resolution: Recognizing and resolving conflicts through an understanding of the underlying systemic causes.
- Fostering innovation: Creating an environment that supports innovation through cross-functionality and cross-system thinking.
